Organix Hair Cherry Blossom Ginseng Shine Spray

As someone who color treats their hair ever y few months and is a blond I know how hard it can be to achieve shine.  I rely on conditioners that don’t weigh down my fine hair and a shine spray or serum that does the same.  Organix Cherry Blossom Ginger Shine Spray is a weightless that works as a shine enhancer and anti-frizz treatment. It smooths and seals the cuticle while preventing fly aways.  Rice milk is combined with bamboo extract to create shine and hydrate the hair while cherry blossom and ginseng root rejuvenate the scalp.

I tried the Cherry Blossom Gingseng Shine Spray  ($7) by Organix and found that it did provide a nice glimmering shine to my hair. It instantly attracted light and shine bounced off my hair wherever I sprayed it.  Unfortunately, I used this product post-workout at the gym and some of the ladies, including myself, found the scent to be rather strong.  I felt like I did not need a perfume after using this spray.  However, it dissipated in a few minutes and the shine stayed for the duration of the day.  My hair didn’t feel too weighed down but it is also not the lightest of sprays. It did tame static and frizz.

Organix has another shine spray that I tested, Shimmering Keratin Oil ($8) from their Ever Straight Brazilian Therapy line.  A shine-inducing coconut oil works with healing and softening keratin proteins to create one very big shine.  This is a rich shine spray and as I stated on this past week’s Dig/Don’t Dig the combination of avocado oil and cocoa butter do smooth your hair and add a bright, brilliant shine but for fine hair it is no good.  My hair was weighed down and oily after just a few spritzes. I cannot use it.  People with thicker hair be it light or dark will love this shine spray.  It smells great while not being overpowering and really does provide a radiant, lasting sheen to your hair.

Overall, I think both products do what they say they will but not don’t work on every type of hair.  You can purchase all Organix hair products including shampoos and conditioners from a variety of lines at your local drugstore, grocery or Walmart and Target.
