Make-up Brushes by Real Techniques

Beauty guru Samantha Chapman (4o million hits and counting!) has created an ultra-plush set of make-up brushes.   Each brush in the Real Techniques line has a hand cut brush head, is 100% cruelty-free and made from taklon bristles.  Those are the bristles you want if you are creating a flawless HD look. I tried and tested the Fine Liner Brush, Expert Face Brush and Setting Brush to see just how they measured up to other brushes.

The Fine Liner Brush ($6) is super soft and ultra thin.  It provides excellent precision application of both cream and liquid liner.  I love it for my every day liner but also when I want to add small details like a thin line of bright color close to my daily liner or for creating a winged effect.  It is great at getting into corners and tight spots too.  It is a nice addition to my angled eye liner brush.

The Real Techniques Setting Brush ($8) works for any look and is perfect for control.  You use it when working with a highlighter or powder to control dusting. You can focus on color or create a dewy look and it only puts the highlighter or powder where it is needed. The super soft taklon bristles feel amazing too.

The Expert Face Brush ($9) is the brush when using cream or liquid foundation. It blends everything extremely well for a pixel-perfect look.  The bristles are broad and firm which works well with matte liquid foundation to create a flawless face.

The Real Technique make-up brushes are a real score! They are sold online and at Ulta stores everywhere.  Affordable and plush they get the job done.
