The 2013 Hyundai i30- A second generation come back

Hyundai had a hard act to follow when they announced that they would be launching a follow-up to the incredibly popular i30 of 2007.

Let’s be clear: the second generation Hyundai i30 looks like its predecessor. Nevertheless, it is set to become an incredibly popular get-about-town car, for the woman with style, class and a whole lot of attitude.

The second generation comes up trumps

The brand new Hyundai i30 is so different from the first generation. Putting these two cars side by side, one wouldn’t be able to tell the difference.

On the outside, there is a sexy, sporty shape to it. It’s far more modern and sharp looking compared to its competitors – one of these being the popular Volkswagen Golf. Taking its tip from Mercedes Benz, Volkswagen and other popular European brands, the Hyundai i30 really gets down to business. It delivers a wonderful and powerful engine and handling, along with a sporty, European-looking exterior.

Under the bonnet

If you’re one of those girls who like to know about horsepower and things, take note and get excited. The old 2.0 litre petrol engine has been replaced with a 1.8 litre MPI that has more power but less torque. Behind the wheel of the 1.8 litre petrol model (with six speed manual), there is a feeling of power that you will need to feel to believe. The i30 diesel is simple and easy to drive, with overtaking on freeways, handling, climbing hills all easily performed, and not taxing on the engine at all.

On the mid to high spec models, satnav, leather seats and optimal leg room all come as standard kit.

This means that the i30 is going to be a strong rival even for more affirmed competitors such as Mazda3 and Volkswagen Golf. Keep your ears open and your eyes peeled. The Hyundai i30 is coming, and it’s going to rock your world.
