Windows Phone 8X by HTC

A few weeks ago I was sent a Windows Phone 8X by HTC. It comes in a few bold colors and has live tiles that can be customized your wants and needs. You have seen the celeb-studded commercials with Gwen Stefani and Jessica Alba, just to name a few.  It is a very personalized smartphone that is available at any T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless or AT&T store for just $199.

The Windows Phone 8X by HTC is the first Windows Phone 8 device.  It has the appeal of high-end design with its vibrant colors, slim design and it feels good in the palm of your hand.  Solid, yet not too heavy.  Fun colors like California Blue, Carbon Black, Limelight Yellow and Flame Red are nice options.   Unique to this phone is a 2.1-mega-pixel front-facing camera which has an 88 degree wide-angle lens. Making it large enough to capture up to four faces in one picture.  It has a 4.3-inch HD display and Beats Audio as well.  I liked that I could easily view the screen in bright sunlight, the battery lasted longer than I anticipated and the design is seamless.  The reviews online are good, though talk circulates about how it is a very cool phone slowed down by Windows 8X.  However, if you are a stylized person and you want performance and affordability the 8X is a nice option.
