In our house we are “gluten-light”. While I can’t eat it much of it without getting sick, my family eats some things with gluten in them. However, when it comes to condiments, it’s a gluten-free zone. It is one of the trickiest things about not being able to eat gluten because it is hidden in so many food items, especially things like dressings, rubs, marinades and sauces. Once I find a brand that we like, it is safe to say it will be stocking our pantry shelves for a long time. Stubbs Bar-B-Q is now in that line-up.

Stubbs rubs and sauces have no artificial ingredients, fat, sodium or gluten. Oddly enough many condiments and marinades do have these things and more like high fructose corn syrup. Not good and I try not to buy those things.  Easier said than done if it is hard to find that stuff or it is more expensive but again, Stubbs wins out.  It is available at almost any grocery store in my area and is priced right.

The sauces taste good, we tried quite a few of them, used the rubs on steaks and marinades on chicken for many dinners this summer and love that the deep-rooted Texas taste is there.  I thought that the Sweet Heat made a nice grilled chicken dish while the  Original sauce had less salt than most bbq sauces.  The products can be added to fish, vegetable dishes, used on sandwiches and burgers and have no artificial colors or sweetners.  Can I get an “Amen!”?  From Texas Butter to Hickory Bourbon and Honey Pecan sauce there is something for every taste and family member.  We’ll be back for more Stubbs.
